I’m curious who on here has heard of The Devil at Los Arcos. I’ve heard this story many times sometimes from a”friend” of a person who was present that night, and even from a person who claimed to be a witness to the unexpected visitor that night. Either way, the story goes like this.
On a hot, West Texas night, a dance was in full swing at the well known Los Arco’s Ballroom. As Norteno music played loud enough to be heard several blocks away, the crowded dance hall moved with couples both young and old . The smell of beer and liquor swelled, reaching out beyond the walls like a haze above the building.
Inside, the ballroom was dimly lit with only the colored lights on stage and a yellow hue of the bar that gave little light to the people inside . This particular night was extremely busy. A favored band was playing and the crowded dance floor left little room for movement. Sometime, during the music and movement, a stranger appears. No one claims to have seen him walk in but only that he was suddenly there. The people begin to ask; who is this man? He is not from here, some guessed he was from a neighboring town others assumed he was was simply a new resident to the oil boom town.
“This incident occurred in August of 2016 in Palacios, TX, a tiny seaside town located on the Gulf Coast about 90 minutes south of Houston.
J, a 56-year-old man, was sitting in a chair in front of his home at about 5:30 am having a cigarette and a cup of coffee. J is a level headed person, doesn’t spook easily and doesn’t buy into any of the paranormal hype that’s so popular today. He feels there is an explanation for everything. Or, at least he did.
After a few minutes he began to feel uneasy, but couldn’t figure out why because there was nothing about the morning to feel uneasy about. It finally dawned on him that he felt like he was being watched. He glanced around but there was nobody there, and then he saw it. Hanging on the light pole across the street was what could only be described as a Thing.
The double thing happened to me at my childhood home. The first time my mother and I were in her room I remember falling asleep next to her and woke up because I heard the door slam hard. My mother remembers that night she saw my sister come inside her room with a warm cup of milk. She gave it to my mother, my mom told her, “Thank you” (my mother drank it every night and that night she just forgot). My sister didn’t say a word, she walked out the room slamming the door hard. My mom though my sister was mad or something..
The next morning my mom told my sister, “Were you mad last night that you slammed the door hard?” My sister was confused and had no idea what my mom was talking about yet my sister told my mom I thought you were mad because I heard a loud door slam last night too. My mother told her you came to my room and brought me a cup of milk. My sister said it was not her, that she doesn’t like getting up at night because she’s a scardee cat..so we have no idea who this person that looked like my sister was or why it happened….
“Hello, my name is Cris and I also witnessed a flying humanoid. I clearly saw it could have been a Witch. It was early, around 9 pm, my children and I were driving to my brother’s house on North Valverde and Minnesota in North Donna, TX when I turned East on Minnesota Rd about half a mile into, here comes a figure in rags flying next to my window on the driver’s side.
This is the location according to the description Continue reading Chased By A Witch (Donna, TX)→
“This happened between the ages of 5-7 (1987-1989) years old, while living in Edinburg, TX, off Sugar Road and Wendy Drive by a canal.
360 of location
I had always heard the story of the crying lady, where she had drowned her kids in the canal because she couldn’t take care of them, or she was a battered wife and didn’t want them to be hurt anymore, or she was just plain old mentally unstable. I didn’t believe the story because growing up in the Valley, you hear tons of scary stories.
This next creepy story seems to be a classic case of Brujeria (Latin American Witchcraft).
“I am a very true believer in the Lord, but we always have to think this way, ” if there is good, there is BAD.” This all happened a few months ago about in November. I have a friend, out of nowhere she started getting ill and Doctors could not find anything that was causing for her to have a bloated stomach and be in the ICU dying. They sent her to Houston and was there for another month in ICU and they couldn’t find anything either. So, when they sent her back down to McAllen, TX she was in the ICU for 2 days before they would disconnect her from artificial life, her husband decided to go to a curandera in Weslaco. I’m talking about a curandera, (ONE WHO CURES BAD) not a bruja (witch).
“When I was between 15-17 (1996-1998) years old, and living in The Colony, TX (about 20 minutes from downtown Dallas, and still small towns back then), a group of friends and I decided it would be a great idea to go to Zion Cemetery in Frisco, TX.
It was one of the last weekends before school let out for summer, and some of us were moving away, or wouldn’t have time to hang out in the summer.
This has to be one of the best stories we’ve received! Taking place in Olmito, TX. Check it out.
“From the time I was 16 until I was 19 (mid 90’s) I had a job exercising horses at a ranch in Olmito, TX just a few miles from Rancho Viejo.
After I finished exercising all the horses, there was a horse I was allowed to ride just for fun. I would often ride the horse on the dirt roads that interlaced the fields out by the ranch where the horses were kept.
There have been reports all over the world when it comes to evil black dogs terrifying people. Many cultures have their own version or explanation about what they might be. Some theories claim that witnessing these dogs could be a harbinger for death. Check out this East Texas encounter.
“Some friends of mine were playing hide n go seek out on her property in Bailey Texas, me and her were hiding together a little behind her house out in the field behind some old wood and tin. I will never forget when she grabbed my hand and whispered almost screeching from fear there was a big black dog dog 10 feet behind us (she had no big dogs) they had issues with strays, but never a black one of this size apparently.
