Sister’s Doppelganger (San Benito, TX)
This creepy doppelganger story comes to us from an anonymous source in Deep South Texas along the Texas-Mexico border. According to Webster’s dictionary, a doppelganger is a ghostly counterpart of a living person.
“This happened when I was 11 years old back in San Benito, TX. My older sister was supposed to do the dishes, but convinced me to wash them instead. So, when I finished, to get back at her, I decided to scare her. This is where things got strange.
Well, I heard her and saw her in the bedroom, so I put some clothes on a hanger in the closet and counted to three in my head. When I jumped out to scare her, she had an expressionless look on her face. I don’t know what made me look to the side, but as I did, and saw my sister hanging up clothes on the clothesline outside. I ran for my life outside and told her what happened.”

My friend’s parent’s house is haunted, a lot of activity there! One though that is similar to this story is that she was coming out of her room and she saw her father walking in the hall toward the front of the house she was calling out to him but he just walked away from her, her brother came in and she asked what their dad was doing because he walked away from her while she was calling him (she thought he must be busy or something urgent was going on because that’s how her dad was moving with great urgency). My friend’s brother looked at her like she was crazy,” Dad’s outside in the front yard with mom.” He went to get a weapon and started looking inside each room of the house and the back yard but no one was there.
