“I’m not sure how far this is from Highway 7 between Kosse and Marquez, but years ago, my ex and I were driving through that area from Waco toward Centerville, Texas. It was late at night, and if you’re familiar with that area, you know there isn’t much light—just the moon and the occasional passing headlights.
As we were driving, I suddenly saw something fly right in front of us. It went straight across the road and into the field on the right side. My ex and I didn’t say a word while it was happening. Honestly, I thought I was the only one who had seen it. I was completely speechless and in total shock. For a moment, I even wondered if I was hallucinating—because there was no way that could have been real.
Then my ex finally spoke and said, “Please tell me you saw what I just saw.”
I gasped and replied, “You saw it too?”
He said yes—and immediately floored the gas pedal. Within seconds, my little Cavalier was doing 100 mph.
I was never able to fully describe what I saw until the movie Jeepers Creepers came out. It was tall, humanoid in shape, with huge wings. It crossed directly in front of my car with a single flap of its wings, and I can’t begin to describe how fast it moved before it disappeared.
I’ve never seen it again—but I’ve made it a point to stay far away from that particular stretch of highway.” -Diana G.
