This happened while working at PD Glycol in Beaumont Texas. Behind the massive Mobil Oil Refinery one night at around 2am a friend and I were heading back to the maintenance shop while on unit start-up coverage. While driving back to the shop, making a curve I spotted something walking on all fours by a holding tank.
It was stealthy like a panther only heavier. I turned the truck to the left to put the lights on it and asked my friend Marcus Montes what is that? We stopped and got out to look at this dark furred, 200+ pound creature with a face like a barn owl. When it turned to look at us we could see black fur that came up to its face like a chimpanzee. After crossing some cribbing it stood and turned around to look at us, went back down on all fours and disappeared into the darkness around the tank. I asked “What was that?” and Marcus didn’t know.
Has anyone had a paranormal experience on the deserted highway between Raymondville and Port Mansfield?
This story goes back to the year 2000. My best friend and I went to go fishing on that Port Mansfield Pier. Being that it’s a no charge entrance, we decided to pay it a visit. So at 5:00pm we were on our way through that deserted highway 186. Since it was still daylight, everything was normal. We fished the whole afternoon, enjoying a different atmosphere and a nice view, inhaling the fresh breeze of the sea.
Nightfall came around and we continued fishing through the night. 3:00am came around and we decided to call it a night and packed our fishing gear in the trunk of the car. So off we went back home. By 4:00am, driving through that lonely road, we came that bend on the road on Highway 186. We were doing like 80 miles per hour, trying to get home to McAllen to avoid the early morning traffic on Highway 281. So out of the corner of my friend’s Guillermo’s eye, a big silhouette popped out of the woods on the side of the road like 10 feet ahead of us.
One summer day many years ago in a small town named Santa Maria, a group of us boys, 5 in total including myself, were glad to be out of school. We were so bored of watching T.V. so we decided that we wanted to go for a swim out in the nearby canal.
We all got ready and were on our way. As we were on our way we had to walk past a forest-like land. All of a sudden, my friend Moose heard something calling him saying “hey”, but we simply ignored it and kept on our way. Note that four of us were 13 years of age while the 5th kid, Moose’s brother, was 6 years old. We settled on the street next to the canal while the forest-like land was still behind us -giving us shade- next to the road of the canal.
Anybody live in Mission? And remember the Crosses appearing in different houses in the 90’s??? If I had to remember correctly I would say it was around 1997
There was two houses in Mission, I don’t remember one of them but one house which is still there is around on Mayberry street near 1st street and old 83. I don’t want to give the address of the house because that is a privacy issue but it is a house near the new church that was built around 2008?
There was this man from a small town in South Texas, he was a man of God and also a truck driver. One day he took off to Ohio on a load. As the small town southern man was on his way he stopped at a gas station 20 miles out of Cleveland. He was feeling a little under the weather that night due to in being below 50 degrees.
As he got off he started coughing and some short man came up to him asking if he was okay. The man replied to him saying it was a simple cold. As they kept talking, the small town southern man started feeling worse. The short man offered the sick man money to go home with his family, but he simply said he wasn’t going to take money from a stranger.
We grew up in Silver Spring, MD and lived in an apartment complex on the sixth floor. I was 14 years old at the time and my older brother (three years older) asked me if I wanted to go riding with him. We went down to the lobby floor and saw two girls (sisters) that lived on that floor. They asked where we were going and wanted to come along.
As we drove around for hours, we ended up on a one lane dirt road, keep in mind that we lived in the city and this was around 1976. I told my brother that I had to pee, and he said we will go up a little further up the dirt road and let me out and he would make a u-turn and pick me up after I finished peeing. As I am using the bathroom I can hear the sisters screaming from the car, but couldn’t make out what they were saying. I turned around to see what was happening and I froze.
In the summer of 1965, I went down the San Pedro Creek by the S. Flores bridge area looking for anything washed up after a heavy rainfall the night before. I usually went with my brothers but they were not around. Our bird dog Spotty followed me, about thirty minutes looking around, I heard Spotty barking and whimper. I walked up to him and stopped when I noticed a figure laying in the grass and weeds.
Well my story isn’t a horror story but I had to tell it. Not sure if anyone saw it that night when I did But here I go.
It was a beautiful night in Port Lavaca, TX. I was up with my brothers running around the living room of my grandma’s house I stopped to rest and put out my face against the screen window to get some fresh air that was blowing. I looked up at the stars that night it was so amazing when I noticed something moving. I figured it was a shooting star but it wasn’t, it seemed to be coming down and closer. When it finally passed by the window I was amazed at what I was seeing.
During the 1970’s, terrified residents all over the state of Texas reported seeing an enormous flying creature which later became known as the “Texas Big Bird”. We spoke with a man who claimed to have seen something unusual flying over him. Could there be a correlation between both? Check out his story below.
“I had the damnedest experience once back in high school. This was in Northeast Houston around 1992. I was playing Frisbee with friends in the street of a typical suburban neighborhood. This was probably early afternoon on a weekend or perhaps just after school on a bright sunny day.
As I jumped up to catch an over thrown Frisbee, out of the blue appeared this huge bird just above me. It was at most 20 feet off the ground, and appeared much closer. I didn’t see its head, but I saw its legs and thought they were as big as human legs.
Once again we received a chilling encounter coming from one of the most heavily active paranormal cities in all of Texas, Donna. Check out this story below.
“I recall my mom telling my brothers and sisters about something really scary that happened to a friend of hers years ago in Donna, TX. Her son was very mean and disrespectful to his mother. She was always crying and didn’t know what to do with him. One day he did the same thing as usual and stormed out of the house running.
