“I’ve investigated the paranormal for 10+ years now, and I would like to share a story of one of my greatest captures out in the field.
About two years ago, I went to Aransas Pass, TX to conduct an investigation inside an old theatre. Aransas Pass is about 30 minutes away from Corpus Christi, which is where my family is from.
While conducting my investigation in the upstairs apartment area, I was using a device that I like to call “The Talker.” It’s simply an iPad app where a spirit can manipulate the device to say what it wants to say.
So, I get the word: “It’s Grandad!”
I could not believe what I had just heard, and I felt it in my gut and in my head. I immediately thought of who it might be that came forward to me that night—as if I already knew who it was.
I said to the spirit, “Whose Granddad are you? Are you my granddad?”
A few seconds later, another device I was using, called a “Rem Pod,” was triggered—lights and sounds going off as if something was touching my equipment.
When that happened, I was in shock, but also hesitant at the same time.
So what did I do, you ask?
I challenged the spirit.
I said, “Prove to me that you are my grandfather!”
Then… that’s when things got really real.
On my “Talker,” I got the response: “Francis.”
On live video, you can see my mouth drop as I look at the camera with so many emotions and a completely shocked expression.
I then said, “That was my grandmother’s name!”
That moment validated, for me, that my grandfather had come forward and was using my devices. It was one of the best feelings in the world.
Seconds later, “The Talker” said, “That was me!”—which made it even more compelling that the spirit was telling me it was him.
I will never forget that moment, and I want to help others know and understand that there is such a thing as the paranormal and spirits.
They are out there.
