“I grew up in Burleson, TX 76028—so not far from where this happened. I decided to Google whether any reports had come out about a flying, human-like gargoyle that dove at us one night. It came from a tree—this huge, dark figure—and even though it was nighttime, the house lights from the garage lit it up.
We were running, terrified, and the sound of its massive wings above us was so loud we ducked, thinking it was going to pick us up! This happened back in 1984. My ex-boyfriend, who still remembers it vividly, later joined the Marines and eventually retired as a fire chief in the area. He doesn’t waver in his story either.
I’m now a Demonologist—not because of that experience, but I’ve always wondered if anyone else saw it besides us. We never reported it because our own parents didn’t quite know what to say. They kept insisting it was just an owl. But we saw a human-sized creature with dark skin, and its wings sounded like what I imagine a pterodactyl’s would have sounded like. Unbelievably scary.
Now, as an Empath-Demonologist, I’ve encountered a demon that seemed similar—but it was within a person, and only I could see it. However, others could hear her howl. Another demonologist once told me there are such things as werewolves, but this thing had a wingspan way larger than any costume wings—massive.
