“Here’s a story that happened to me, and I swear what I saw was real. This took place sometime between 2010 and 2013, on my birthday, in Mission, Texas.
I had thrown a huge party that night, and lots of guests came over. I lived in a small apartment, so only a few people stayed overnight. I gave up my room for my relatives, while my brother, a friend, and I slept in the living room. My parents and a couple of cousins stayed in my parents’ room.
Around 4 a.m., I woke up to use the bathroom. On my way back, for some random reason, I decided to peek into my parents’ room. Their room has two windows facing outside, but one of them—right next to their bed—looks directly into the backyard.
Outside, right under that window, there was a table. A streetlamp from the alley behind the apartment shone directly onto it. Because of that, anything that moved or climbed onto the table would cast a clear shadow against the curtain inside the room.
As I looked toward the window, I suddenly saw something leap onto the table. It stayed there for just a couple of seconds before jumping off—but the thing I saw wasn’t an animal.
It looked humanoid.
It was around three feet tall, hunched over, with long, stretched-out arms. Its legs were thin and bent oddly, with one foot positioned in front of the other. Then, in one quick motion, it leaped off the table—just like a kangaroo would.
I stood there, frozen, unable to believe what I had just seen.
Yes, it had been my birthday that day, but I was only about 14 to 16 years old. I didn’t drink or smoke, and to this day I still don’t—so I know I was completely sober.
What I saw was real.
The best way I can describe the creature is this: imagine seeing Gollum from The Lord of the Rings.“-Kevin S
