This heart touching story comes to us from a Texas woman after she returned from a trip to Reynosa, Mexico along the Texas-Mexico border.
“One afternoon, my dad and I were crossing the Reynosa-Hidalgo Bridge after getting some medication in Reynosa for my dad’s flu. As we were waiting in line, we noticed the car next to us was overheating and spilling all the water from the radiator.
As I looked over at the car, I noticed the driver was a young girl, maybe 20, 22 years of age, and she had a little boy with her about 5 or 6 years old. I quickly told my dad we should help her, to which my father agreed. He then told me to tell her to park at the Whataburger in Hidalgo, and wait for us there (since she was ahead of us in line), and NOT to turn off the car.

I related the message to her from car to car and she seemed relieved at our offer to help. Her little boy didn’t seem concerned at all and so he just gave me a stare, sat back down and continued playing with the red truck in his hands. As soon as we crossed, we drove to Whataburger only to find that the girl had turned off the car!
According to my dad, that was a big no no when cars overheat, but he proceeded to work on the car nonetheless. As the girl and I are watching my dad work on her car, I ask her about her boy. She quickly touches her chest with both hands and says, “omg what boy?! I don’t have kids!!” At that point I’m thinking this woman is hiding the child or has done something really bad to the child!!
I started to search her car and even the trunk! But I couldn’t find the little boy. I continued questioning her to the point that I was almost being aggressive toward her. My dad finally stopped my questioning when she started crying. She was so afraid, she didn’t want to drive home alone. We ended up following her to her home in Mcallen!
A few days later she called me (we had exchanged numbers), and told me about her nephew and how he had gotten run over in Reynosa a few weeks before the incident at the bridge. He was 5 years old and he was running after a little firetruck toy he had rolled to the street. After that experience, I truly believe spirits manifest themselves for unknown reasons.”
