Brujas Of La Homa Road

Here is another story from one of the most haunted roads in all of Texas, La Homa Road in Mission, Texas.  Check it out.

“BRUJAS OF
LA HOMA RD.”

“Back in 1994 I used to work in a fast food restaurant where we sold hot dogs, burgers. etc. For security purposes, I will omit the name of restaurant, but I will say it was located on North 10th. St. in McAllen, Texas. Well, basically this occurrence is not focused on that restaurant, but I’m a very detailed person who likes to relate stories point by point.

OK, with that said, here’s what I experienced back then. Til this day I still have a hard time believing it.

Well, back then that restaurant closed at 12 PM and a few co-workers and myself stayed after hours to clean up. Back then a female coworker always needed a ride home so one of my coworker’s friend of mine and I took her home. Due to her living so far away from McAllen, I went with my friend to drop her off to where she lived on La Homa Road. Back in 1994 La Homa Road was a deserted, dark, lonely road with not too many houses and partially lit by a few street lights.

So, Rosalva, our coworker, invited my friend, Henry and I to chill outside her house to talk. So, back then with the privilege of being single, we had no obligations, just a few explanations to our parents who trusted us. That being said, my friend and I talked with Rosalva through the wee hours of the morning. Til we touched the theme of ghosts, paranormal and witchcraft.

Rosalva mentioned to us that right across the road on the other side there was a very old, creepy-looking tree. She said that on that tree stood two witches. I thought it was a hoax and she was trying to pull the strings on us, but no, she told to me to cross the lonely, dark road to the other side where there was an old abandoned building with that creepy looking tree on one side. So, I got close to that tree and to my surprise I remember seeing two black silhouettes the size of vultures.

I tried to scare them off thinking well maybe they were some kind of birds, but what happened next is what makes me a believer. Those two black silhouettes started to growl at me, a cold spine-chilling growl that to this day when I remember I start to shake. I got a big rock and attempted to throw it at those creatures while my friend and Rosalva yelled at me to stop. Too late, the rock struck one of the creatures. It started to talk like a hurt lady.

And then both creatures flew off the branch towards me with the intention to attack me . Thanks to my rapid reaction, I started to run across the road to the other side towards my friend and Rosalva. Those two creatures… I got to see them in the twilight of the night . They had horrible, white, long faces like a 200 year old lady and their wings were widely spread and huge. Every time they flapped, it ran through my head that they were closer to grabbing me.

By the time I reached my friend and coworker they ran inside the house and me after them. Once I got inside, my coworker slammed the door shut, we looked through the window and the flying creatures were flying around waiting for me to come out. Things calmed down inside and my friend and coworker got after me for doing that.

Feeling scared, I apologized to both of them and me wanting very bad to get the hell out of there to the car and go home. My friend and coworker told me to wait til sunrise inside til those creatures disappear or whatever. So, we stayed inside for like 4 hours til sunrise, but in those long 4 hours the creatures never gave in, they were waiting for me outside.

So after sunrise I glanced through the window and saw that the creatures were long gone. I told my friend to hurry up and get in the car to drive off . After saying goodbye to Rosalva, we took off, but in the middle of the road, we saw two young ladies walking while crossing La Homa Road to the other side and one of the young girls was bleeding from the forehead trying to hold the bleeding with the palm of her hand.

So that’s why I know it was them that transformed from animal to human in the daylight. Coincidence or not, you decide. From that experience on to this day I never again disturbed anything on tree branches. Now many years later by destiny or only God knows I travel La Homa Road daily because I live like a few blocks from where that occurrence took place years back.

And when I passed through that place after so many years I wonder what happened to those things, creatures or young ladies whatever you wanna call it . Nowadays, that old building has been demolished and the tree no longer exists . In its place there are new buildings and the coworkers house no longer exists either. In its place there’s a tire shop. Back then, I never would’ve thought, not even a bit that many years later I was gonna live close around that place. ” -Juan

Ghosts Of Minute Maid Park

Union Station, at 501 Crawford St, Houston (Texas, USA) is now integrated into Minute Maid Park, the home of the 2017 World Series Champions, The Houston Astros!  Check out John’s story below.

“This story comes straight from beautiful downtown Houston!

I was working as the site supervisor of security at Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros about 5 years ago when I realized there are people still roaming Minute Maid even after the last pitch.

When I first started, I was enthralled to be working there as I loved the Astros and had watched them growing up as a kid. I made it my personal mission to find every nook, cranny and turn of this massive ballpark and to this day when I attend games I can point out interesting things about it most people don’t know.

It was on one of these night while I was on foot patrol I had my first experience. I was in Union Station on the 4th floor in the dark, patrolling the offices to see if anyone was still working, which sometimes they were, or anything unusual in general. Now it was pitch black on this floor and I mean pitch black and i didn’t have a flashlight.

Since I was new I had no clue where the light switch was, but I was determined to make it through with only the EXIT sign lights as my guide. As I was walking through I suddenly had a feeling I wasn’t alone. I chalked it up as it being dark and my fear getting the better of me. But then over my radio I heard a whispering noise.

I couldn’t make out what it was saying but it sounded like someone was whispering through the microphone. The radios we had would beep when the mic was opened so you knew someone was about to talk and would be prepared to listen, but my radio never beeped.

So I got on the radio and asked the other guys if they had said anything, they said no. At this point I felt weird, not scared, so I decided to leave. The next day I ran into a maintenance man who has been with the Astros a very long time and is just an honest, good man. I told him about my experience and he said, “Oh, yeah, Union Station is haunted, they didn’t tell you?” He swore other security officers wouldn’t go in there at night to patrol because how creepy it was.

During my time there my guys began to tell me stories about their experiences at Union Station and one on my night crew even refused to go in there when the sun set. Then one morning I was patrolling the exterior on a golf cart when I was passing by the front of Union Station. One of my officers had to be acting as a receptionist to receive mail from 8-9 until the receptionist arrived for work and usually stood by the front main doors. It was about 8:10 am.

My officer had his back towards me, and behind him stood a fair skinned lady with black heels and black hair. This was unusual because she had her arms crossed and was just looking out the doors, at nothing really because there are pillars right in front of the doors, but as if she was waiting for someone. This was unusual due to the fact the officer in the building had been there for a few years and everyone knew him.

We were trained that if someone, such as an executive was nearby we should greet them and if they are waiting, strike up pleasant conversation. But there he stood with his back towards her. I didn’t think much of it, so I drove of. Only catching a good look of her. When he returned back to the office I asked him who the lady in the black dress was behind him and he said there was no one there with him until the receptionist arrived at 9!

I told him what I’d seen and he said he knew Union Station was haunted and thought it was a cool experience. I thought it was cool as well. There are plenty of more stories about my time at Minute Maid if you’d like to know more, this one was just my most profound and I wanted to share it with you guys!”-John S.

When we were at the highest point of the overpass, you could see a lady in black standing on the side of the road. She was at the very end of the overpass.

Lured By A Crying Ghost Lady In Black

“This happened between the ages of 5-7 (1987-1989) years old, while living in Edinburg, TX, off Sugar Road and Wendy Drive by a canal.

I had always heard the story of the crying lady, where she had drowned her kids in the canal because she couldn’t take care of them, or she was a battered wife and didn’t want them to be hurt anymore, or she was just plain old mentally unstable. I didn’t believe the story because growing up in the Valley, you hear tons of scary stories.
