  1. I lived off of west matz in 2000 and I saw this girl numerous times in our house and we had many weird things happen. I wasn’t the only one who saw her my friend, mom, sister and my step dad did too. My step thought it was my friend and he was talking to her but she never said anything. She went to my room he said, I came home about 20 minutes later and he told me my friend was in my room. I asked him what do you mean my friend was standing next to me who was in my room and he jumped up and said whos in your room then. We walked to my room and nobody was there. Another incident, I had a walk in closet in my room and one day I was changing and just closed the door of my closet while inside. I changed and tried to open the door and it wouldn’t open and this door didn’t have a knob that could lock someone in or anything. Then I heard hey can you help me and I said with what mom I’m locked in the closet then laughing and nothing. I screamed for my mom and she came she thought I was holding the door it wouldn’t open. She got my stepdad everybody is pulling on the door and I’m pushing nothing. Finally my step dad just pryed open the door and after I got out the door would open and close easily. we checked there was no way that door could lock you in but i told my mom take off the knob just in case. After that the closet door wouldn’t stay closed I would close it and then it would open by itself. I would put a chair in front of it at night and in the morning the door would be open and chair moved. We had many more occurrences we moved due to needing a bigger home after 3 years but occurrences happened until the very last day.

  2. First incident***I lived at the green house on the corner of Matz, my room had a long opening cause at one point it was the dinning room. Well one morning I woke up to a shadow of a little girl on the ceiling in my bedroom walking back and forth of the opening I had. She was walking with her head kinda tilted down and had long hair. I swear it went on for more then 5minutes. She didn’t want to go away and I wasn’t trying to get out of bed to call my sister . I forced myself to sleep and when I woke up again she was gone.

2nd incident** my sister woke up one morning and followed me to the restroom or at least so she thought. I see her coming out of my mom’s room cause that’s the restroom I usually go to, anyway I was coming out of my room and she had a puzzled look on her face. I asked her what’s wrong and she was like “how did you get there, I just saw you go to the restroom and when I followed you you weren’t there”. I told her “what are you talking about you just was me walk out of my room”. 😱😱😱

  3. Apparently, after reading the story it seems it haunts West Matz Ave. West Matz Ave has the older subdivions, probably 50s/60s/70s. East of 1st is considered E. Matz. And, E Matz between 1st and 7th st is where all new ritzy houses are located. And, after 7th st still E. Matz is also considered somewhat new subdivisions till it ends on 13st.
Someone saw her close to Blake and Matz Ave which is West Matz, west of 1st. Another one mentions apartments. Only section of Matz with apartments is West Matz where Dennis St and New Combes HWY meet. Hope this helps🙈

  4. Local history doesn t back up the story, though, and the camp in the legend probably refers to the nearby defunct girl scout camp, Camp Lula Sams, which is currently the focus of a conservation effort.

  5. My huband and i live on matz ave. One morning around 5am we went out back to smoke a cigarette and heatd a child crying. We automatically thought one of the kids woke up but when my hb checked the kids wrte all sound asleep….keep in mind i staued outside while he ckecked and the crying never stopped. Soon after he came back out and told me kids were asleep but the crying continued….sounded as if it was comming from the alley to tell u the truth. He heard it as well so i convinced myself it wad a cat and rushed inside. It was no cat though….cats dont cry like that j/s
