Here is Irene’s experience…
“Hi, I have a similar experience. I lived in an apt on 11th St. in McAllen, TX. My boyfriend and I were in the living room talking and then all of a sudden a silver ball that looked like an orb bounced from the ceiling fan and flew straight to the front door and disappeared.
It looked so real, but it was weird because it came out from the ceiling fan and hit the front door. We thought the ceiling fan was gonna catch on fire, but the orb just disappeared. I also had weird ghost experiences in that apt. A little girl’s voice would whisper in my ear when I was going to bed, saying “Good Night “ or would have nightmares of a hairy figure trying to choke me.”-Irene

“I work at Dillard’s in McAllen,Texas and I’ve been working there for 15 yrs. I used to work up stairs in the home dept.
One day, I was walking in the stock room because we used to wrap wedding presents in there and I looked to the left at the way end of the room.
I saw a tall man dressed in an old fashion tuxedo. He was reaching up on the top shelf. He looked at me and I looked at him. I was about to wrap the gift when suddenly it hit me.
I looked again and he was gone. I got scared and went out. I told my co-worker about it. He said, “yes, I’ve seen ladies dresses in old fashion clothes, with umbrellas. They look at me and smile.”-Gracie
“I have an experience I had back in 2012 at my apartment on 11th St. in McAllen, TX. One cold December evening, I left to go visit my father at a nursing home, while walking towards the apt exit next to the pool area, there’s a boy about 7 yrs. old wearing a square short sleeve shirt and jeans. The night was a little cold and lightly raining. The boy was facing towards the pool and I just left, but I kept thinking to myself, what a little boy would be doing alone outside.
The neighborhood was quiet and no one was outside because of the cold weather and light rain, so I just left. When I got back from visiting my dad, I saw the boy standing facing the apt office window. He was just still, I asked him, “are you ok?” He turned and looked at me and said, “I wanna go there.”
He pointed to the east side of the apt. I said, “where do you live?” and he kept pointing to the east side, so I said, “go in to your house.” So, he just started walking toward an empty apt, opened the door and went in, but that apt was empty and I waited for him to get inside. The apt looked dark, but he went inside and the door just closed by itself.
I felt chills cause the boy was outside by himself when I left and he was also at the same place when I got back about 2 hrs later. Then, when I told a friend of mine who lived at the apts about the boy, she said that years back a little boy drowned there in the pool.”-Irma
This story came in with no name or location attached. We can only assume that it took place in Texas. It’s a classic doppelgänger story, you can find a similar story here. If you have had a similar occurrence happen to you, we would like to hear about it. Share your story.
Since I can remember my dad’s side of the family has been very intuitive when it comes to anything paranormal. My dad has had a lot of weird things happen to him but usually my mom, sister and I just blow it off as him just being very interested in the paranormal.
In order to understand this story a little better I have to explain the layout of my kitchen. In my kitchen there is a door that leads outside and my parents bedroom is right next to that door, above the door that leads outside there is a light switch and a button that opens our gate.

“I’m originally from Laredo, TX; which in it’s own right has a lot of haunted history. I am now a professional story teller and I travel from school to school to tell my ghost stories, and the kids love them. The one thing I always mention at the beginning of each ghost story is that they are ALL true. All of them. Each one of my stories is a part of my past and it all started when I was 3 years old. Here’s the beginning of my continuing ghost story.
Back in 1985 my mom noticed something off about me. I was very quiet and kept to myself. At times she would come towards me to comfort me or hold me and I would scream at the top of my lungs at her attempt. My mother knew something was wrong but she couldn’t put her finger on it. After visiting a few doctors not one could give my mother an accurate diagnosis. So, I was taken home. It wasn’t until one night that my mom fed me some spaghetti and as I finished my plate I looked over to my mom and said, “It hurts here mama.” pointing to my lower right side of my stomach.

Texas is home to several eyewitness accounts when it comes to different types of flying humanoids. From the Houston Batman to the Galveston Mothman, Texas has it’s fair share of terrifying and unusual cryptids. Check out this story below from a McAllen, Texas native.
“The day I left the valley I was in the backyard of my childhood home in McAllen, Texas taking one last look at my garden when I noticed all the neighborhood dogs started barking at once. I happened to look up and see a humanoid creature that had wings like a bat, but the body and head of a human.
This creature had legs I could see hanging down and what looked like hairless grey skin. It was just hovering over my house flapping it’s wings once every few seconds. I was petrified to the point where I could do nothing but stand and stare till it flew off going south.”
This is not the only instance of people witnessing flying humanoids in Deep South Texas. Have any of you ever seen anything similar in this region of Texas or anywhere else? Leave us a comment below.
In November of 2016, a man traveling to McAllen, Texas experiences a slip in time where 4 ½ hours of his life are unaccounted for. Some theories out there involve extraterrestrial influences as the cause for these mysterious time slips. Check out his story below.
“Just traveled into McAllen, Texas. I started that stretch to McAllen from the split of Corpus Christi, estimated time of travel for 177 miles on Highway 281, time to arrive at 2 am. I averaged 85 Mph and got to McAllen at 6:30 am.
That’s 4 1/ 2 hours of lost time that can’t be mathematically calculated. Has anyone had this happen to them here, where the estimated time and the arrival time has such a huge difference?”
Could this be attributed to an extraterrestrial influence or perhaps a glitch in the matrix? What do you think? How many of you have ever experienced something like this on Highway 281 or anywhere else? Comment below.
A woman shares a story about a possible encounter with the Goat Man of Texas.
“When I was around 8 I was walking home from my school (not supposed to), but I remember walking along the road and a car pulls up. I’m looking and I see it holding a gun on the seat. As I’m looking briefly at the gun, I see goat feet. Hooves and all. This thing had a trench coat and had an abundance of fur.
I recall grabbing my friend’s hand, turning around and ran back to our school. This was in like 88. I know it sounds crazy, but I know what I saw in broad daylight. God has been beside me always because that’s not the only thing I’ve seen in my 36 years of life. I feel lucky though. If that sounds weird.” -Sabrina

An uncle of mine told me this story several years ago. He claimed this happened in the late 70’s in McAllen, Texas near the location of where the current McAllen Medical Center hospital stands. Back then the place was mostly fields with not many businesses around. My uncle was not the type of person to experiment with drugs or psychedelics even in the 70’s which is why I believed him when he relayed this story to me. That, along with the genuine fear and concern in his voice when I heard him tell the story is why I believe him.
So, one late evening he’s walking along a corn field while attempting to hitchhike back home to Donna, Texas from a dance he had previously attended near Mission, Texas. He had already hiked several miles and wound up near the location of this incident. As he was walking along the field, he sees a huge black dog hovering above the corn field keeping pace with him. One thing that always sticks out for me was the way he described the creature’s eyes. “Two huge burning red eyes the size of large grapefruits.”
Still hoping for a car to pick him up, he notices the creature gazing at him and decides to walk faster, but unfortunately, so does the creature. At this point he starts to full on sprint and the thing continues to keep pace with him all while floating creepily at least a foot above the corn field. At this point, he is absolutely terrified and convinced this thing is going to try to harm him. Luckily for him, a car pulls over in the nick of time and offers him a ride home.
After doing some research, he may have witnessed what many people have described as a “cadejo”, which according to Wikipedia, “is a supernatural character from Central American and southern Mexican folklore. There is a good white cadejo and an evil black cadejo.”
In other cultures, it is known as a “hellhound” or “black Shuck” and has often been recognized as a harbinger for death. However, according to the website http://hispanic-culture-online.com/el-cadejo-legend-central-america.html, they claim that “Given the Cadejo’s choice of “victim,” one of the most common explanations is that the legend serves a morality tale, discouraging heavy drinking and staying out late.” Only this was no tale.
